Bowling!!!!

We took the boys bowling for the first time today with our friends Erica and Ava. We all had a really good time. The kids were so excited and wanted to pick up all the balls. They were also fascinated with the ball return. Thankfully we didn't have any major injuries. We had a lane just for them with the bumpers down and the ramp for them to roll the ball on. They did really good for the first game and then started to lose interest. Then the last 20 minutes we were there they started the cosmic bowling, that was all they needed. The lights went off and the black light and booty music can on. The three of them were dancing all over the lanes having a blast. I tried to get some pictures but the camera I had with me doesn't do good inside with low light. Definitely worth doing again!!
Hey!! Where's my ball?

Exploding Box

I came across this scrapbooking project called an Exploding Box. I decided to make one for Joe's grandmother, whom we just went and visited in Rhode Island. And I made it from start to finish the two nights before we were leaving. Talk about last minute. But it came out so cute. I really wanted to keep it for myself. Well here are pictures of it.

What Princess are you?

So I found this on Heidi's blog and thought it was cute. I took the quiz and here is the result.

Pure and trusting. You are a gentle soul who can get along with just about anyone. Everyone you meet instantly falls in love with you. How can they resist? You have a pure, lovable nature that's irresistable. Just don't trust everyone who comes across your path.

So much to Blog and I don't know where to start!!

This will probably be one long post. I need to get better at doing this daily so this doesn't happen. First are some pictures of the boys being just plain silly. I love when I catch cute pictures like this.
Logan with glasses made out of Wikki Stixs

Drew with his fish glassesPeek-a-Boo

I'm so sad to see our leaves already falling from the trees. It has been really dry here this summer. These are pictures of our backyard two days ago. It has rained for two days straight and the tree is almost bare ;0( I love the fall season and I love to see the kids play in the leaves. But ours are all wet and gross. Hopefully the other two trees will hang in there a little bit longer.

Finally the kids are going crazy being inside all day because of the rain. So today we has fun putting on some tattoos. Of course they can't have just one. Logan picked the panda bear for his belly, they eagle for his arm, and the monkey for his leg. Drew, well mommy picked for Drew. I picked a skunk for his belly because he is a little stinker and he wanted the elephant for his arm.

Drew's 2nd Haircut

I took Drew to get his hair cut the other day. It was only the second time he has had his hair cut. He did so good. I tried to give him a lollipop while he was sitting and getting his hair cut. But he didn't want anything to do with it. It was actually kind of funny. He just sat in the chair with no facial expression and didn't move a muscle. I tried to get him to laugh or smile but he wouldn't. When he was all done and I took him out of the chair and then wanted his lollipop and was all smiles.

Consignment Sale Time!!!!

It is time for the Fall consignment sales! I love shopping at these sales. It is fun to see what great things I can find for great prices. They do these sales in the Spring and then again for the Fall. My neighbor told me about these sales when I was pregnant with Logan. I was still working at the time and never got to go to any. The really good ones usually have their sale on Thursday or Friday and then Saturday is all the left off stuff for 1/2 price. So after I had Logan and became a SAHM I got to go to my first sale. Well all it took was one and I was hooked. It has almost become an addiction. I will usually shop two big ones and 4 to 5 smaller ones. I even started to volunteer at this one big one so that I can shop the night before at the presale! This is a big deal because not only do you get first dibs on everything, there is less of a crowd and NO KIDS!! Yes!! I get to shop without two wondering toddlers. Well last night was my shop night and I had a great time!! I met up with two of my neighbors at the sale also. It is great to see what they find and to get a second opinion on things. Here are some pictures of my purchases from last night and of the kids getting a look at their new stuff. I got all of this for $70.

2 pants, 7 button down shirts, 2 sweaters (1 brand new), and 4 T-shirts

New House

OK, so it's not a new house for us but the kids are loving it. We bought this Little Tikes play house for the kids over the weekend for a great price. I found it on Craigslist for $50. I was so excited when I contacted the seller and it was still available. They retail for over $200 and are usually resold for at least $100. Well when Joe brought it home on Friday it was so dirty. We spent a good hour Sunday morning cleaning it. Like all the plastic toys it cleaned up really well. It has a phone inside that is suppose to be interactive. I tried to change the batteries but unfortunately it still did not work. I checked the Little Tikes website because I know that they sell replacement parts. But I was a little worried because I didn't know how old the play house was and if they would have parts for it. When I went to the website they had nothing listed. So I called them and got great news. They have all the replacement parts I need, in stock, and I get them for free!! She said the play house was still within the one year warranty!!!! So here are some pictures of the kids enjoying ice cream in their new house.

Trying Something New

OK, so last night I decided to sit down and really give this blog thing a try. I read so many blogs on a daily basis that are written so well that I'm a little intimidated. I'm sure that it will be mostly family and friends that will read this but I will try and do my best.

My main reason for doing a blog is so that friends and family can feel like they are a part of our every day life. My other reason is I'm so bad at getting any scrap booking done that I thought this could be a way to preserve the changes and stages of my two beautiful boys. They are growing up so fast I'm afraid to blink.

So I hope you will stick around and see what our crazy family is up to next.

Love,
Rhonda
